For The Week Ending November 21, 1998

Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie • Alanis Morissette

'Junkie' (***1/2 out of four) was well worth the three year wait. Tracks such as Baba, Can't Not, UR, Would Not Come, and Unsent make this eclectic set a must have for your Progressive/Alternative music lover. Carrying over from 'Pill' is the gut-wrenching angst felt by the 25 year-old artist. What makes this different is the adaptation of different styles of music throughout the tracks themselves. The 17 track, 71 minute CD is well worth the money. Enjoy another classic in the making.

The Definition chart is derived from critically acclaimed new singles combined with U.S. radio airplay. Each week a song is rated in the top five it earns points based on it's ranking. A number one song receives five points for the week, while a number two earns four points. Three earns three points, four: two points, and five: one point. Next week is the final week of the 1998 music year. After all points are tabulated for every weekly chart, the 1998 year-end review will be released on Tuesday, December 1, 1998.
